Dan Hay & Co. was established in 1991 by Attorney Dan Hay and is currently based in Ramat Gan. The firm is active in the fields of real estate, commercial contracts, corporations (companies and associations), insurance, local authorities, and labor law. In addition, the firm is active in special niches: privacy protection, databases, intellectual property, the media, libel, and sports law. In all these areas the firm is active both in the commercial sector and in litigation.

Attorney Dan Hay, who heads the firm, is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Tel Aviv University. He received a license to practice law in 1989 and received his notary license in 2002.

Attorney Dan Hay is the author of The Protection of Privacy in Israel, published by Milga Publications Ltd. in April 2006. He is a member of the Public Council for the Protection of Privacy; serves as chairperson of the Privacy Protection Committee of the Israel Bar; and is a judge in the national disciplinary tribunal of the Israel Bar. In addition, Attorney Hay is an external lecturer at Sha’arei Mishpat College, where he teaches an elective course on Privacy Protection in Israel.

In the field of community involvement, Attorney Hay has served as president of the Israel Round Table, and later as the organization’s international liaison officer. He previously served as chairperson of Round Table No. 5, the Tel Aviv and Gush Dan annex of the Israel Round Table.

  • Management of claims relating to the protection of copyright against various types of violations; preparation of agreements relating to this protection; registration of trademarks and associated actions; management of claims against violators of trademarks and claims in accordance with the Commercial Torts Law.
    Real estate
  • establishing and managing investment funds and providing routine consultation; representing contracting companies in diverse real estate transactions, including percentage transactions (combination agreements), agreements with consultants and subcontractors, litigation in the field of building defects, dissolving real estate partnerships, compensation demands under the Planning and Building Law, and proceedings with the Israel Lands Administration. The firm also processes land registration and settlements; parcelation and reparcelation plans; locating and representing real estate transactions in Israel and abroad; removing tenants and diverse associated claims; and actions in the field of receivership for various assets. Our clients include private overseas investors and development and contracting companies in Israel.
    Commercial law
  • Supervising transactions in the commercial sector; preparing various agreements; providing routine legal consultation for various commercial companies, including investment agreements, shareholders’ agreements, distribution agreements, agency agreements, franchise agreements, real estate transactions, etc.
    Labor law
  • Routine legal consultation for companies regarding employment; preparing work agreements; dismissal and retirement proceedings; proceedings at the labor court; and various other matters in the field.
    Sport
  • Representing athletes, sports associations in various fields, and sports departments in the local authorities; preparing agreements between athletes and associations, between associations and various suppliers, and between athletes and advertisers; representing athletes on the Olympic team, both in dealings with the Olympic Committee and sports organizations and with sponsors. Our clients include most of Israel’s leading soccer and tennis players, sports club coaches, and others.
    Insurance and damages
  • Managing claims in the field of bodily and property damage and third party claims, including the representation of athletes in all aspects relating to claims under the Insurance Contract Law and claims against various insurance companies. The firm also processes the filing of claims for damages due to the violation of legislated obligations, including in accordance with the Sports Law, 5748-1988, and the regulations enacted under the law, as well as claims on the basis of individual insurance policies.

The firm is based in the stock exchange area in Ramat-Gan and is active in the fields of real estate, commercial contracts, corporations, insurance, local authorities, labor law, privacy protection, databases, intellectual property , the media, libel, and sports laws .Hay formerly served as president of the Israel Round Table and as chairperson of the Round Table in Tel Aviv and  Gush Dan.


Ofer Ben-Assa, Advocate

Graduate of the School of Law (LL.B) and the School of Business (B.A), majoring in finance, at the Interdisciplinary Center, Herzliya.
Clerked at at Fisher Behar Chen well orion & Co., in the areas of commercial law and labor law, and today specialize in sport law, defamation law, copyrights and corporate law. in addition, he is a teaching assistant at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya in " Medical Ethics and Law" course.

Liav Shapira, Advocate

Graduate of the School of Law (LL.B) and the School of Business Administration (B.A), majoring in marketing, at the Interdisciplinary Center, Herzliya. Prior to joining the office, has worked at Dr. Shlomo Cohen and Co. Law Firm, specializing in intellectual property law. Made his internship at Amnon Zichroni and Co. Law Firm, specializing in criminal law and civil law. Today, specializes in privacy law, databases and defamation law, including but not limited to litigation and writing legal opinions in these areas.

Assaf Ben-David, Advocate

Graduate of the School of Law (LL.B) and the School of Government Studies (B.A), with a Masters degree in Business Law (L.L.M) from the Interdisciplinary Center, Herzliya. Prior to joining the office, Assaf worked at Pearl Cohen Zedek Latzer and Co’ specializing in complex issues of Internet and computer law. Prior to that, Assaf worked at Gross, Kleinhendler, Hodak, Halevy and Co’, specializing in international commercial agreements and Private Equity, Venture Capital and Hedge funds. Presently. Assaf specializes in commercial law, privacy law, databases, telecommunications, computer and Internet law and does commercial litigation in these fields. Assaf is fluent in both English and Hebrew.
